Still without time to digest the anger between ERC and JxCat over the disqualification of the president of the Generalitat, Quim Torra, the independence movement prepares to live as a celebration the presence in the Parliament of the sovereign leaders condemned by the Supreme Court by sedition.

This Tuesday it is planned that the six former jailed counselors - Oriol Junqueras, Jordi Turull, Raül Romeva, Joaquim Forn, Josep Rull and Dolors Bassa, appear as witnesses in the commission of inquiry of the Parlament on the application of 155 in Catalonia.

Two weeks ago the Department of Justice of the Generalitat authorized the release of the prisoners to appear in this commission since it considered it an "inexcusable duty, taking into account that it is a request made by the Catalan Chamber." Therefore, the Mossos d'Esquadra have established a special device that guarantees the transfer from the prisons to the Parliament, as well as the wandering of the condemned sovereign leaders within the headquarters of this institution, where they will be guarded discreetly, according to police sources, similar to when they went to Congress after the first general elections in April.

Upon arriving at the Parliament, the prisoners will be in a room in police custody and from there they will go out one by one to go to the commission, so they will not be able to circulate freely. Both the ANC and Òmnium Cultural have called a rally in front of the Parliament to receive the independence prisoners.

It will be the second to convene in less than 20 hours the ANC at the front of the door of this institution, after which he did this Monday to affect ERC that would not allow Torra to vote during the plenary session and abide by the resolution of the Electoral Board that he disqualified him as a member of the Catalan Chamber after being convicted of a crime of disobedience. The president of the ANC, Elisenda Paluzie , asked "to say enough to the violation of rights" because "by saying no progress, it is obvious".

This Monday’s rally had no incidents beyond shouting against the Mossos for preventing entry into the Parliament. It was after the end of the plenary session when a group of a hundred more radical independentistas went to Urquinaona Square and the Gran Via to cut traffic and burn some containers after putting them on barricades. The police made some intervention to allow Firefighters access to put out these fires in addition to identifying some people who caused these incidents.

In the commission on Tuesday, the prisoners will take a first turn of speech and then the groups present can ask questions. However, in this commission there are only JxCat, ERC, the CUP and the commons , while the PSC-Units, Citizens and the PP refused to participate.

Despite this, the leader of Citizens in Catalonia, Lorena Roldán , announced Sunday that the orange party will go to the commission this time to tell the prisoners to "ask for forgiveness", although the Popular Party has already said it will not attend .
