Three days after the discovery of the lifeless body of a young woman aged 19, in Orvault, a judicial investigation for homicide was opened on Tuesday, reports Pierre Sennès, prosecutor of the Republic of Nantes. Concretely, this means that an investigating judge has been seized and that the criminal hypothesis is privileged.

The young victim was found on Saturday afternoon in the apartment where she lived, Plaisance district, in Orvault, in the Nantes suburbs. She was in her bathtub when her mother discovered it, around 3 p.m. The emergency services could not revive her. Her body showed signs of burns and beating. However, the autopsy failed to determine the exact cause of death.

According to Ouest-France , a minor, who knew the victim, was placed in police custody on Sunday and then released on Tuesday.
