Sharjah Police: Reduction of violations ends Friday and no intention to extend

Sharjah Police called on drivers and owners of vehicles who did not pay their violations to urgently settle their conditions and benefit from the decision to reduce violations that expires at the end of the current month after 3 days, noting to "Emirates Today" that the decision was issued by the Executive Council of the Emirate of Sharjah and there is no intention to extend the period prescribed to reduce the value of Traffic fines on vehicles in violation of the Traffic and Traffic Law by 50%, as the decision began to be applied on October 22, 2019, and ends on Friday, January 31.

She emphasized that the goal of implementing the decision to reduce violations is due to the Sharjah police’s keenness to facilitate the violators, enable them to settle their conditions, re-renew and register their vehicles, and ensure their suitability for road traffic, in order to preserve their safety and the safety of road users.

She said that the decision to reduce traffic violations in Sharjah 50% includes all traffic violations that occurred before the date of October 22 this year, and does not apply to violations that were committed from the date of October 23, noting that there are violations that were not covered in the decision and that they were committed and in which a high degree of seriousness was committed, and caused Damage to people's lives or result in deaths and severe injuries.

All those with traffic violations during the previous period were invited to take advantage of this decision before its term ends on January 31, 2020.

She explained that those who have traffic violations can pay them through smart applications of the Ministry of Interior, or visit comprehensive police stations or traffic and licensing department in the emirate, or commercial centers through "Sahel" devices

It indicated that people who have severe traffic violations, which require reservation of the vehicle or traffic points, must attend personally to the places where payment is permitted, to settle it, as it cannot be paid through police stations or applications, but rather the presence of the person who is the vehicle or the driver in his capacity Personal.

The police called on all road users and drivers to abide by the traffic regulations and rules of the public street, to respect and abide by the laws, and not to subject themselves to accountability and violation.
