Between January and June last year, 5.7 million visits were made to primary care in the county. 1.8 percent of these, ie over 100,000 visits, were patients who did not show up according to figures from the region.

In psychiatry, the number of absentee visits during the period was second highest. Nearly 80,000 visitors never showed up. The total number of visits, just over one million, means that the proportion of absentee visits was greater than in primary care, almost eight per cent.

On Tuesday, the Board of Health will make a decision to introduce a fee of SEK 400 for missing visits.
