The departmental public security directorate (DDSP) of Pas-de-Calais has just called for vigilance regarding the circulation of counterfeit money on its territory. Once again, these are the famous cinema tickets.

Several cases of attempted payment using counterfeit banknotes have been reported to the Pas-de-Calais police in recent weeks. According to our information, the people in question acted mainly during fairs in the sector of Bethune and tried to sell coarse copies of clippings of 10, 20 and 50 euros. A police source explains, however, that there has not been a massive influx of complaints and that it is above all a warning.

The criminals choose their moment well

This is not the first time that 20 Minutes has dealt with the circulation of "movie money". They are copies of clippings generally used in the cinema but which ordinary people can easily obtain on the Internet. If, to the eye, these banknotes can give the change, they remain however easily detectable, in particular because of the texture of the paper used.

However, some traders are still having it. According to the police, the criminals choose the places and times to sell their counterfeit notes. The fairs or the braderies or the time of the shot in the cafes and restaurants.
