January 28, 2020 Three children were killed in a raid near a school in the Alhadba Albadry neighborhood, south of Tripoli. This was reported by the Ministry of Health, which accused the forces of the general of Cyrenaica, Khalifa Haftar. The victims were between 9 and 12 years old. The spokesman for the Vulcan Rabies operation, which counteracts Haftar's offensive, said the rockets had fallen in a school's forecourt.

In a statement from the UN Support Mission for Libya (Unsmil) published yesterday it was confirmed that in 2019 the conflict for the conquest of Tripoli that began in April killed "at least 287 civilians" and injured almost 370, with a 60% of the victims caused by air raids.

Trump-Erdogan: "Keeping the truce"
Phone call between Donald Trump and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The two leaders, the White House reports, "discussed the need to eliminate foreign interference and maintain the ceasefire in Libya" and "agreed that the violence perpetrated in Idlib, Syria, must be stopped". Trump also "stressed the importance of Turkey and Greece in resolving their disagreements in the eastern Mediterranean".

Al Arabiya, Haftar "does not negotiate with Turks and mercenaries"
The Libyan National Army led by the general of Cyrenaica, Khalifa Haftar, will not negotiate with the Tripoli government, led by Fayez al Serraj, as long as there are Turkish and mercenary forces in the country. Al Arabiya writes that quotes Faraj Al-Mahdawi, a commander of the army of Cyrenaica. Al-Mahdawi explained that the conditions will be reiterated during the first meeting, to be held in Geneva, of the 5 + 5 Committee which was set up during the Berlin Conference.

The commander also explained that the five Army representatives will be, in addition to Al-Mhadawi himself, Al-Hadi Al-Falah, commander of the western military region, Abu Qassim Al-Abaaj, commander of the southern military region, commander Mahmoud bin Said and Abdul Rahman Mohammed al-Jatlawi, director of the legal department of the Ministry of Interior.
