According to the police, starting this week, they will be in several places in Malmö. Which will be clear to the public.

"It is about places where there is information that there are criminals, but also other information that touches on the four operational goals that are in Operation Rimfrost," says Stefan Sintéus, commander of Operation Rimfrost Syd in a press release from the police.

Several controls

During Tuesday morning's efforts at Rosengård, among other things, checks were made on cars and spaces in homes and shops.

- We work intensively in Malmö in, among other things, public spaces in residential buildings in basements and attics where drugs are sometimes hidden, among other drugs, says Andy Roberts, local police area manager Malmö Norr in the press release.

During the operation at Rosengård, a person must have been deprived of freedom. The person is suspected of throwing some type of firecracker at the police vehicle.

The Customs Administration's staff has also been on site at Rosengård.

Want tips

The police are appealing in connection with the efforts on tips and observations from the public.

- We know that there are other places that we haven't discovered. We need citizens to give us tips, says Andy Roberts.

As SVT Skåne previously stated, the police will also start handing out leaflets around Malmö which include information on how to help the police as a citizen.

Operation frost is a so-called national special event, which means that the South region receives reinforcement from other parts of the country. The purpose of Rimfrost is to reduce blasting, shooting and other effects of organized crime.
