The Dubai Criminal Court sentenced a 22-year-old Arab woman to six months in prison in addition to deportation after her conviction, with extortion and a known Gulf media threat, after he was photographed in obscene conditions, and demanded that he pay about two million dirhams in order not to expose him.

The victim said in the investigations of the Public Prosecution, that he met the defendant in October, through a social media dating program, and told him that she lives in the Emirates, but she will come to his country to visit him, then she contacted him after arriving there, and sent a video of her until Seduced him to come, he answered her, had sex with her, then left the place.

He added that he was surprised by a letter from her, about two weeks after their meeting, that included a picture of him, which is completely disgrace, accompanied by her in her bedroom, and told him that she had pictures and videos of him during their practice of this relationship, and asked him to transfer the amount of approximately two million dirhams in exchange for not publishing the photos and video.

He pointed out that the defendant took advantage of the nature of his work, being a well-known media figure, planted a camera in an invisible location, and photographed him, in order to obtain the money, filed a complaint against it with the authorities in his country, and was criminally prosecuted in Dubai. The Dubai Public Prosecution stated that the defendant confessed in the police reasoning record and the investigation of the prosecution with the accusations that were attributed to her, and the prosecution charged her with committing a felony of extortion and threatening to assign dishonest matters of honor and consideration through an information technology method, and a misdemeanor using telecommunications services to abuse, annoy and hurt the feelings of others.
