In a more than two minutes long film produced for Region Västerbotten, the aim is to highlight the good aspects of air traffic and how important the flight is to the development of the region. A decline in flying would, according to the narrator's voice, "hit hard on our welfare and further increase polarization". Furthermore, it is important to emphasize the importance of increasing the innovations in order to achieve a more sustainable flight and find alternative aviation fuels.

Many politicians and individuals have reacted negatively to the film. And one of them is the leftist regional councilor Liselotte Olsson, who thinks it is a gross over-ramp.

- I was very upset, firstly the content was completely crazy and secondly, to post it on the region's Facebook page which should not be used to send propaganda this way, she says.

You call it propaganda?

- Yes, it was clear flight propaganda.

Carstedt (S): "The movie could have been better"

The Regional Development Board chairman, Rickard Carstedt (S), says that the film was far too uninjured and that it was removed because of it. Now you should look through it properly and see if it is possible to find a "better level" on it.

If the movie was then nuanced why was it published?

- We as politicians are not in talks, but we are at an overall level of what the officials and the administration are going to produce here. Here everyone agrees that it could have been better and that is why we stop the film and make a change.

You were involved in writing a debate article in which several wordings are also in the film, how come?

- I think it is important to take the debate about aviation for the climate debate today must be the society that takes responsibility. I think we have fantastic opportunities to become climate smart up here. But we have to go in to take structural steps to cope with the climate and then it is about refueling of aviation fuels rather than banning flights, says Rickard Carstedt (S).
