US Defense Headquarters The Pentagon confirms that a US military aircraft of the Bombardier E11A model crashed in the Ghazni province of Afghanistan, according to multiple media.
The confirmation comes a few hours after anonymous officials told Reuters that the plane was American. The Taliban claim that the plane was shot down - and that they shot it themselves.
That the plane should have been shot down, however, is denied by the Pentagon.
