This was reported by TASS with reference to the Deputy Chairman of the Commission, Commissioner for Human Rights in the Moscow Region Ekaterina Semenova.

She said that the petition for pardon was received on January 27, in which Issakhar “partially admits that she really was carrying drugs, these drugs were for her own use, there was no intent in smuggling the girl and had no thoughts”.

Accordingly, according to Semenova, the commission, after considering the characteristics, “decided to satisfy this petition for clemency”.

According to her, members of the commission unanimously signed an act of protocol on a petition for clemency. On Tuesday, January 28, the document will be submitted for signing to the Governor of the Moscow Region Andrei Vorobyov.

Earlier, Israeli lawyer Alexei Dobrynin said that Issakhar filed a written petition for clemency addressed to Russian leader Vladimir Putin.

Naama Issahar sentenced to 7.5 years in prison. She was detained in April 2019 with 9.6 g of hash in Sheremetyevo.
