The other sentences
The Court of Assizes also sentenced four of the five doctors of the medical commission of the Saronno hospital to 2 years and 6 months for aiding, called to evaluate the work of Cazzaniga on the report of two nurses.

The lawyer
"Leonardo Cazzaniga is tried as we are, life imprisonment with isolation is difficult to digest. The sentences must be respected but we certainly will not agree when we read the reasons and appeal." This was stated by lawyer Ennio Buffoli, defender of Cazzaniga, a few minutes after the sentence.

The relatives of the victims
"I am not relieved, the sentence cannot ease our pain, the way these events have overwhelmed us, especially my grandchildren". This was said by Gabriella Guerra, sister of Massimo Guerra, one of the dead people, at the end of the reading of the sentence of life imprisonment against Cazzaniga.
