Young Billie Eilish, with her iconoclastic pop and dark universe, won the prize for "best pop vocal album" on Sunday at the Grammy Awards, winning in this category against veterans Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, Ariana Grande and Ed Sheeran .
"I feel like I don't deserve to be there. Life is weird," said the 18-year-old girl on TV channel E! after the announcement.
Even before the release of his album "When We Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?" last spring, Billie Eilish had already achieved great success on the internet for her direct and daring pop, marked by heavy bass and mingled with "trap" and electro.
The Californian artist is among the artists with the highest number of nominations this year, six in total, and has become the youngest to compete in the four major categories.
Her title "Bad Guy" last August made Billie Eilish the first musician born in the 2000s to rise to the top of the American top 100, dethroning Lil Nas X and her 19 week record with her global success "Old Town Road ".
The artist consecrated "woman of the year 2019" by the specialized magazine Billboard also wrote with his brother the official theme of the next part of the adventures of James Bond, "Dying can wait".
His brother and main collaborator, Finneas O'Connell, 22, has already won two Grammy Awards in the five categories in which he was selected.
