“By 15:00 Moscow time on January 26, the captain of the Sibirsky icebreaker rescue vessel reported the loss of radar contact with an emergency vessel that was unmanned 130 miles southeast of the port of Magadan,” the source told TASS.
It is noted that in connection with this, it was decided to start a search and rescue operation and send 11 vessels to the disaster site that are located in the corresponding fishing area.
According to Rosmorrechflot, searches are complicated by a storm.
Earlier it was reported that the fishing trawler Enigma Astralis caught fire in the Sea of Okhotsk near Magadan. Later it became known that all 47 crew members of the trawler were evacuated to a fishing vessel.
