Promises are not enough. Two months after the announcements of the Minister of Health Agnès Buzyn, about fifty doctors and heads of department of the CHU of Rennes resigned from their administrative functions "to defend the public hospital service".

According to Dr. Hervé Léna, who has resigned, the doctors are protesting in particular against "activity pricing, which is an absolutely phenomenal bottleneck, the decrease in overall funding for health, and missions that do not stop increase without there being resources at stake ”. This pulmonologist is very critical of the "financial effort" promised by his ministry at the end of November. According to him, this envelope valued at 1.5 billion euros mainly concerns "caregivers in Ile-de-France or geriatrics, while the difficulties affect the entire hospital world".

These fifty doctors represent 5 to 10% of the staff of the Rennes hospital. A new day of strike is announced on February 14 by the hospital world. On November 14, several thousand hospital workers marched across France, during a strike followed by more than one in four hospital doctors and more than one in ten paramedics.
