The group found counterfeit documents to allow the issue of residence permits and thus facilitate the illegal entry into France of some illegal immigrants. Among them also a Tunisian, suspected of terrorism-related activities, who would have crossed the border thanks to some passeurs.

The leader of the group, Fanni, was considered the contact person for many countrymen, including students, who for the issue of the residence permit indicated his home as their home. During the searches, carried out against four Tunisians and an Italian in the Turin area, false documents were seized, including various identity cards, requests for the issue of the residence permit, prints of false documents ready to be laminated. In the home of the Italian, investigated in the same investigation, the printer with which the documents were produced was also found.
