Over the weekend, the number of corona virus infected has increased to over 2,000 people and now foreign ministries advise against travel to Hubei and other affected areas in China. Previously, Norway and Denmark prevented citizens from traveling to Hubei Province in China, where the virus was first encountered.

Several countries have also begun bringing home citizens from the provincial capital of Wuhan to reduce the risk of infection. Japan's Prime Minister Shinzo Abe announced over the weekend that the country is offering all Japanese citizens located in Wuhan to be evacuated if they wish to write Reuters news agency. According to the Japanese Foreign Ministry, around 430 Japanese people are in Hubei.

Other countries also announce that they plan to bring citizens home. The US has been allowed to evacuate diplomats and other citizens from Wuhan by air. Russia and France have also agreed to take measures to evacuate citizens.
