Ministry of Foreign Affairs discusses evacuation of Japanese from Wuhan with Chinese government Charter aircraft also operates on January 26 at 17:03

With the spread of the new coronavirus, especially in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has begun to talk with the Chinese government to evacuate Japanese residents there. We are adjusting it including flying private charter aircraft.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs raised the infectious disease risk information level of Hubei Province to "3" on the 24th and recommended that the trip be stopped.

It is estimated that there are about 700 Japanese in Wuhan as of the 24th, but public transportation has stopped and travel from Wuhan has been restricted.

For this reason, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has begun discussions with the Chinese government on evacuation to protect the Japanese staying in Wuhan.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will soon recruit people who wish to evacuate locally, and if the approval of the Chinese side is obtained, adjust including including flying private airline charter aircraft and moving from Wuhan to Japan doing.

We are also coordinating with the relevant ministries and agencies on how to receive evacuation in Japan at airports.
