They returned on Saturday by plane. Four pharmacy students from the University of Lille have just been repatriated from China, announces La Voix du Nord . They were on an internship since the start of the academic year in Wuhan University, the Chinese city where the coronavirus "2019-nCov" appeared a few days ago.

Their return to France was possible because they were outside the city when the quarantine was decided. They decided on Monday to go sightseeing in a neighboring province. Before leaving China, the four students had to undergo three medical checks to ensure that there were no symptoms of the virus.

"We don't really want to go back to China"

“For fifteen days, the incubation period, their temperature will be taken daily. And we are going to ask them not to come to university during this period, ”explains François-Olivier Seys, vice-president in charge of international relations at the University of Lille, to the regional daily.

The young girls are students in the fifth year of pharmacy in Lille. Their return to France was normally scheduled for next week. "We don't really want to go back to China, that really worried us," one of them told BFMTV on Saturday.

The planned departure of six other Chinese students from Lille University to Wuhan next week has been postponed.

This Sunday morning, the assessment of this new pneumonia due to the coronavirus reported 56 dead and 2,000 people affected in China.
