Armenia has banned the import of livestock products from China due to the spread of coronavirus. This was reported in the Armenian State Food Safety Service.

“In order to prevent the import of coronavirus from the territory of China, the order of the head of the food safety inspection body of Armenia prohibited the import of raw materials and animal products made in China or in other countries using raw materials of Chinese origin from January 26,” the ministry said.

The ban will continue until the World Organization for Animal Health and the World Health Organization recognize China as free from coronavirus.

Earlier, Kazakh Prime Minister Askar Mamin ordered to strengthen sanitary-epidemiological and migration control at border crossing points of the country, as well as suspend the regime of 72-hour visa-free stay for transit passengers from China.

According to the latest data, the number of infections with a new type of coronavirus in China increased until 1975, 56 deaths were recorded.

As the PRC State Committee on Health Affairs noted, the ability of the new coronavirus to spread is increasing, the outbreak of the disease has entered a more complex stage.
