The Annie Award "Children of the Weather" and other Japanese works won 16:36 on January 26

The anniversary award ceremony, called the "Academy of the Anime World", was held in Los Angeles, USA. Nominated Japanese works such as "Child of the Weather" were not awarded.

The Annie Prize is awarded to outstanding anime works and directors, and is also called the "Academy Award in the Anime World".

The announcement and the award ceremony were held on the 25th, the afternoon of June 26, Japan time at the University of California, Los Angeles, where directors of Japanese works also appeared.

Director Makoto Shinkai's "Child of the Weather" was nominated in four categories, including the Independent Film Award and the Director Award for works with less than 1,000 theaters in the United States.

Kotaro Kosaka's "Young wolf is an elementary school student" and Hiroyuki Imaishi's "Promare" were also nominated for an independent work award.

However, Japanese works were not awarded in any category.

The most prestigious feature film award was the Spanish Christmas comedy "Claus".
