Judaizing and settlement projects in the holy city of Israel are proceeding with a sharp escalation, at all times, to form a full-fledged circle for the projects that have been established in the past years. Blessed is the vicinity of Jerusalem and the surrounding cities

Paths

The tracks of the Israeli project, which were announced, make them more dangerous, as they aim to prevent worshipers from entering the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, intensify its intrusions, and re-close the Bab al-Rahma chapel, one of the most important historical doors to Al-Aqsa, as well as prevent the Islamic Endowments Department from carrying out reconstruction and restoration work inside the sanctuary Al-Qudsi.

This new project is a continuation of Israel's efforts in its Judaization plans, which target the landmarks of the Holy City, its towns and its inhabitants, and the most dangerous of which is the 2020 project, which aims to displace and displace the people of Jerusalem, and complete control of its ancient historical suburbs.

Imposing absolute sovereignty

Najeh Bakirat, director of the Jerusalem Academy for Endowment and Heritage in the city of Jerusalem, said that “this time the new occupation government project targets the Al-Aqsa Mosque directly, to tighten full control over it and isolate it from the vicinity of the city of Jerusalem. To achieve this, three dangerous tracks have been included in the project’s plans. In the endeavors of the occupation to raise the frequency of its violations to a large degree inside the Al-Aqsa Mosque and not only outside it, including the performance of Talmudic rituals in it, and imposing hardships on worshipers ».

He adds that «the second track of the new project’s plan is the spatial occupation’s control of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and the historic Bab al-Rahma, which the government is seeking to close again after a year of its opening, to use it as a starting point to expand settlement within the mosque, as it is located in the eastern side of it.

The Israeli government plans to re-close the Bab al-Rahma chapel east of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, by moving a very serious lawsuit, to issue an order to renew it completely, in preparation for full control of it within the Judaization schemes.

Bakirat says to “Emirates Today”: “In February 2019, Jerusalemites were able to reopen the chapel of the Mercy Church after it was closed by the occupation authorities for 16 years. Today, one year after the opening of the chapel, the occupation seeks all possible tools and means to limit The presence of worshipers in it, and preventing them from reaching it, by arrest and deportation, so that the matter may be brought by the Israeli police in a lawsuit, in which the courts demand the issuance of an order to renew the closure of the door of mercy, according to previous judicial orders.

The director of the Jerusalem Academy for Endowment and Heritage affirms that the Bab Al-Rahma chapel is an integral part of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and a historical and religious landmark of its features.

Regarding the third track of the new project, it is an attempt to impose absolute Israeli sovereignty on the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, by interfering with the powers of the Islamic Endowments Department and the affairs of the mosque, and preventing endowments from carrying out any work inside it, in addition to preventing restoration and reconstruction, according to Bakirat. .

It indicates that the reconstruction and restoration of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque are among the responsibilities and powers of the Waqf Department in the Holy City, and it confirms that the occupation is trying to steal this role and turn the facts of the existing reality in the mosque.

Plan 2020

For his part, Khalil Al-Tikfaji, director of the Maps Department at the Beit Al-Sharq Association in Jerusalem, confirms that Israel has been seeking, since the beginning of the new Gregorian year, to gain full control of the holy city, to implement the 2020 plan, which is one of the most dangerous and major Judaization plans, which Israel calls The Greater Jerusalem Project.

It shows that the 2020 plan aims to seize the largest area of land surrounding Jerusalem, by confiscating lands, surrounding them with settlements, destroying Arab neighborhoods, and displacing and displacing the population, as well as isolating the Arab population in Jerusalem from Arab settlements in the West Bank, and it also encircles Jerusalem with settlement belts Connected in the form of residential communities that achieve the establishment of a Jewish population isolation between Jerusalem and outside it, and achieve strategic control over the Arab communities inside Jerusalem.

Violations

Since the beginning of the year 2020, Israel has practiced many violations in the Holy City, which is the issuance of decisions to demolish homes for Jerusalemites in different areas inside Jerusalem, in addition to the decisions to deport and imprisonment of Almoravids and stations in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and a number of Jerusalemites, most notably the preacher of Al-Aqsa Mosque Sheikh Ikrima Sabri, who was banished for a week from al-Hazm al-Qudsi.

Khalil Al-Tufakji, Director of Maps Department at the Beit Al-Sharq Association in Jerusalem, notes that these violations are part of the 2020 plan, through which Israel aims to control spatial and temporal control of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and isolate it from its surroundings.

He points to the strategic goal of the 2020 project, which is controlling land and residents at the same time, noting that Israel has confiscated over 53 years 35% of the area of East Jerusalem, and 52% of the area of streets, green lands and public parks.

The Israeli government plans to re-close the Bab al-Rahma chapel, east of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, by moving a very serious lawsuit, to obtain an order to renew it completely, in preparation for full control of it within the Judaization schemes.

Plan 2020 aims to seize the largest area of land surrounding Jerusalem, by confiscating lands, blocking settlements, destroying Arab neighborhoods, displacing residents, and isolating the city from its Arab surroundings.
