"The only thing I had with me was the clothes I had on my body"

It was a sunny June day, for many a squeeze day. Admittedly, the weather forecast had forecast rain in the afternoon. But at nine o'clock in the morning there was not a cloud in sight.

Student Marcus Andersson had just gone to the part-time job. Helene Trygg had just come home from a long night in the hospital where she works as a nurse.

Both noted a box bike outside gate number 1 on Ådalagatan.

- I'm still thinking about this bike. I was angry that it was standing in the way so I think today, what if I had just driven it, says Helen Trygg.

A shocking day turned into weeks. Which in turn became months. And now just over seven months later, both Marcus Andersson, Helene Trygg and 35 other tenants have been evacuated from their homes.

- The only thing I had with me was the clothes I had on my body, my cellphone, a pair of sunglasses, wallet and charger for the phone, which was very very handy. That way I was very lucky, somehow I was a little more prepared, says Marcus Andersson.

The police have held over a thousand interrogations as a result of the explosion. But so far no one has been arrested and there are no suspects.

- The longer it goes, the harder it is. We depend on getting good testimonials to be able to move on in the work, says Daniel Axelsson, head of serious crimes in Linköping.
