The Ministry of Education has set the second of next February as the date for the start of registration of students enrolled in the first grade and kindergarten, for the first and second stages of the academic year 2020/2021, for citizen students and children of female citizens and those of similar kind, in government schools, and registration continues until 12 March, and is scheduled Registration is open for schools in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi (Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra) starting from the 23rd of the same month.

The Ministry indicated that students born in the year 2014 are entitled to register in the first grade, while it specified the children born in 2015 to enroll in kindergarten in the second stage, and for those born in 2016 they can enroll in kindergarten in the first stage, calling on the families of students to the need to register their children in kindergarten, Given the importance of this educational stage through which the child's horizons are cognitively, skilled and social.

The Ministry stressed the importance of registering on the aforementioned dates, in order for it to work to create the appropriate environment, and to organize the process of accommodating students in those educational stages, as well as providing all their needs in accordance with the highest international standards followed, pointing out that the number of students enrolled in the first kindergarten stage for the academic year The past amounted to 9669 male and female students, while 9994 male and female students were admitted to kindergarten (second), in addition to admitting 10 thousand and 512 male and female students in the first grade. The Ministry requires to complete the registration of citizen students and children of female citizens, several conditions are that the student be within the legal age, and the request to register students as listeners is not accepted, and schools must commit to approving the student file after registration by the Ministry of Education through the “Al-Manhal” program, as well as the public schools and Riyadh Children accept new students according to their residential areas, in addition to the obligation to register students with an ID card only. With regard to registering students of interest, the Ministry indicated that their registration is through special education support centers in all emirates of the country, and these centers will undertake the diagnosis and evaluation of students through interviews that will be determined by these centers in coordination with parents.

The Ministry’s Assistant Undersecretary for the School Operations Sector, Fouzia Gharib, said: “The Ministry pays great attention to the first stages of school education, given its importance in preparing students for the subsequent educational stages, as the Ministry worked to provide an inspiring educational structure for students in those stages.”

Registration for schools in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi (Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Dhafra) is open from February 23.
