U.S. Secretary of Defense Esper warned of China's acquisition of the latest military technology, stressed the need for the United States to work together with the public and private sectors and called for private sector cooperation.

Secretary of Defense Esper spoke in Washington on Wednesday that he warned that China was acquiring the latest military technology, including through cyberattacks and espionage, to close the military gap with the United States.

He added, "The United States must unite in a strategic dispute with China and work together as a nation. Our success depends on a joint public-private strategy." He called for private sector cooperation in areas such as artificial intelligence.

Over the matter, Secretary of State Pompeo also gave a speech last week in Silicon Valley to alert business stakeholders to China's acquisition of the latest technology. It is a form that emphasizes and seeks cooperation from American private companies.

Meanwhile, some U.S. media reports that the Pentagon is opposed to a proposal by the US Department of Commerce to further tighten export controls on China's telecommunications equipment giant Huawei.

According to the Pentagon, U.S. companies also export parts and other parts to Huawei, and over-regulation will reduce sales, and as a result, R & D expenses of companies related to the defense industry will decrease. Concern about the situation highlights the difficulty of tightening regulations on Chinese companies.
