The UAE officially assumed the chairmanship of the International Forum for Migration and Development 2020 as the first Gulf country to preside over the forum, which includes more than 190 countries in its membership. This came at the end of the works of the twelfth summit of the Forum, which was held in the Ecuadorian capital, Quito during the period from January 20 to 24, where the Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, Head of the State delegation Nasser Al Hamli, received from the Vice-Minister of Ecuadorian Immigration, Santiago Chavez, presiding over the forum, amid a great welcome from Heads of delegations and representatives of international organizations.
