The statistics are based on, among other things, reported crimes, personal injuries, perceived unrest and developed fires in Sweden's 290 municipalities.
According to the survey, Trosa is the safest municipality in Sörmland, and Flen is at the bottom of the nine Sörmland municipalities. The most positive change compared to the previous year has been in Oxelösund, which has climbed 67 placements on the national list.
Jessica Ekermann is crime prevention coordinator in Flen and works to make the municipality safer.
- We have security walks with police, officials, local residents and rescue services and try to see security from various aspects that we then work on, she says.
