January 25, 2020 Election day of silence today on the eve of the regional vote. Tomorrow we return to the polls in Emilia Romagna and Calabria to renew the regional council and choose the new president of the region. Voting takes place from 7 to 23, immediately after the closing of the voting operations the ballot will begin.

More than 3.5 million Emilia-Romagna citizens called to vote to elect the new President of the Region and the fifty members of the Legislative Assembly of Emilia-Romagna. The 4,520 sections in the 328 municipalities in the region will remain open from 7 am to 11 pm. The polls will begin immediately after the polls have closed. Separate voting is allowed.

The presidential candidates of the region
Seven, supported by 17 lists, are aspiring to the presidency of the Region. The main challenge is between Stefano Bonaccini, outgoing president of the center-left candidate, and Lucia Borgonzoni, senator of the League and candidate of the center-right. The vote and the candidates in Calabria
In Calabria there are over three hundred candidates for thirty seats in the regional assembly. There are four aspiring governors. Jole Santelli, in addition to being the only woman candidate for the presidency of the Region, is also the youngest and is supported by the largest number of lists and candidates: six lists for each district and 144 aspiring councilors. Pippo Callipo, on the other hand, the greatest of the presidential candidates, has a team of 72 candidates and three lists per constituency. The entrepreneur had already applied in 2010 and finished third. Francesco Aiello counts on 46 candidates and three lists; 42 candidates for Carlo Tansi, also supported by three lists, only one of which is present in all the circumscriptions.
