Perrine Laffont, who won the first two stages of the mogul world cup this winter, is back on Saturday in Tremblant, Canada, after a six-week break from competition.
The 21-year-old Olympic champion is at the top of the general classification, and seemed untouchable at the end of 2019.
The French skicrossers will have more pressure on Saturday and Sunday in Idre Fjäll in Sweden: after a completely missed weekend last week, with no semi-finalists among the men in Nakiska (Canada), the French team will be weakened by the absence of the experienced Jean-Frédéric Chapuis, triple winner of the world cup (2015-16-17) returned to France to undergo an appendicitis operation.
The cross-country skiers meet in Germany in Oberstdorf, for a skiathlon on Saturday and a sprint on Sunday.
Sick and forfeited last week, Maurice Manificat is this time well on the entry list, just like Jean-Marc Gaillard, locomotive of the France team last week at Nove Mesto (Czech Republic), where the Blues have placed four men in the top-15 on the free 15 km.
Sunday, the floor will go to the sprinters. Lucas Chanavat, in his red sprint world cup leader's jersey, will once again challenge the invincible Norwegian Johannes Klaebo who, ill, had missed the Dresden stage won by Chanavat on 11 January.
