The Minister of Community Development, Hessa bint Issa Bouhamid, revealed that the total amounts disbursed as financial grants for marriage during the past year amounted to 166 million and 600 thousand dirhams for 2380 beneficiaries of marriage grants at the state level, an increase of 15% compared to what was disbursed during 2018 .
She affirmed that the marriage grant offered by the Ministry to young people comes in the context of government support that the leadership is keen to provide to the people of the country, especially those who are about to marry, enabling them to build stable and cohesive families within the framework of achieving social cohesion, noting that the value of the marriage grant is 70 thousand dirhams One-off for those who deserve it, which confirms its role in supporting the aspirations of young people and supporting them to build new families that are financially and morally stable.
She indicated that the ultimate goal of the marriage grant is to help young men and women to start their marital and family lives with stability and reassurance, by providing financial support that gives young people the confidence to fulfill the requirements of marriage and relieve them financially, along with raising awareness of them about aspects of family life after marriage, and how to build a family Stable to knit and maintain.
