Chinese authorities have ordered nationwide measures to identify the symptoms of a new type of coronavirus. We are talking about the control of public transport passengers in settlements, trains, airplanes and water transport.

Relevant information follows from a report by the Chinese State Health Committee, RIA Novosti reported.

Responsible persons in vehicles should they suspect infection should immediately contact the airport, train station or port where special stations will be located for a more thorough check.

Local authorities were instructed to ensure interaction among themselves regarding the relevant departments, which control healthcare, public safety and transport.

As part of the set of required measures, it is planned to place quarantine control stations that will check and, if necessary, isolate passengers with suspected coronavirus.

In addition, from January 26, China has completely suspended bus service between the provinces. Meria is declared as temporary, but the deadline for resuming the movement of buses has not yet been announced.

Meanwhile, already in 25 provinces and special administrative units of China with a total population of more than 1.2 billion, the highest level of response to health emergencies has been announced.

In particular, the authorities of Hubei Province, in which the city of Wuhan, which became the focus of the spread of the new coronavirus, were the first to announce the appropriate measures. Later, the cities of central subordination Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing and Tianjin did the same.

In the province of Hubei itself, five cities are cut off from the outside world, including Wuhan. Recall that the coronavirus, designated 2019-nCoV, was first recorded precisely in Wuhan. This happened in December 2019.

Later, the sick were found in Beijing, Shanghai and a number of other large cities. By January 24, more than 800 people in China had a confirmed diagnosis, by the same time the death toll exceeded 25 people.

On January 24, the construction of a hospital for 1 thousand beds was started in the quarantined city, designed for a new type of pneumonia infected. They intend to complete the construction in early February. A day later, on January 25, the Chinese media announced plans to build another similar institution, with a capacity of 1.3 thousand beds.

Coronaviruses are the families of viruses that can cause damage to the respiratory system, nervous system, and gastrointestinal tract in humans. The name of this type of virus is determined by its shape - when they are examined under a microscope, the outer shell is visible from the outside, from which the processes resembling the crown depart.

To date, the Chinese media report 1355 reported cases of the disease with a new type of coronavirus and 41 deaths as a result of this disease.

It is noteworthy that scientists from the Shanghai Institute of Pharmacology and the Institute of Immunochemistry of Shanghai University of Science and Technology are exploring the possibility of using existing drugs to fight the new virus.

As the newspaper Paper writes, scientists took advantage of the developments from the time when the SARS coronavirus vaccine was created in 2007, known as SARS. According to experts of the institute, 30 drugs and traditional Chinese medicine have been identified that can have a therapeutic effect against the virus.

Worldwide spread of the virus

In addition to China, individual cases of infection were recorded in several Asian countries - in South Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Japan and Vietnam. There are cases in the USA. In Europe, the first case of coronavirus 2019-nCoV was recorded in France.

According to the BFM channel, among the diseased - a 40-year-old resident of Bordeaux, who recently traveled to China, where the man has relatives. Earlier, authorities reported two more cases of infection.

In addition, the virus has reached the limits of Australia. According to local ABC broadcaster, the disease was detected in three men aged 30, 40 and 50 years. They are now being monitored at a hospital in Sydney.

In addition to this, in Brazil, a family is isolated who, shortly before, had a rest in the Philippines. According to local media, one of the children brought up by a family recorded the main symptoms of 2019-nCoV - respiratory disease and fever.

Monitoring the situation in Russia

In Russia, cases of the disease with a new coronavirus have not been recorded. Earlier, the media became aware of the placement in the infectious diseases hospital of Irkutsk of a Chinese resident who had arrived from the republic the day before. Later it became known that a man was diagnosed with an untyped influenza A virus.
