The signing was attended by representatives of the EU and the British Foreign Ministry, as well as the main negotiator from Britain, David Frost.

Earlier, Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain signed a bill on the country's withdrawal from the European Union, after which the document acquired the status of law. Prior to this, he was approved by the House of Lords of the British Parliament.

Later, the head of the European Council, Charles Michel, and the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, signed an agreement on the conditions for Britain to leave the European Union.
