"The Foreign Ministry is informing citizens and the international community that it has decided to suspend diplomatic relations with Cuba from today," the statement said.
The Foreign Ministry explained that this step was “caused by the recent unacceptable statements by Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parilla, the constant hostility and the ongoing insults of the constitutional government of Bolivia from Cuba”.
At the end of December, the Bolivian authorities expelled the Ambassador of Mexico and two Spanish diplomats.
