Yazi citizen Abdullah Al Shehhi (19 years old), through her specialization in "Environmental Sciences", is looking to contribute to the sustainable strategy adopted by the state in preserving the environment and based on a green economy, paving the way for it to transform the fourth item of the "Emirates Vision 2020" a tangible reality It is represented in "a high quality of life in a sustainable and giving environment."

Al-Shehhi, dispatched from the Ministry of Education to the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom, said that her choice of "environmental science" stems from "a great passion for preserving the environment and avoiding the waste that leads to damage and contamination of its important elements that cannot be dispensed with, as they are essential essentials for life, Like air, water, soil and other elements that unite to form an environmental balance.

She added that «climate change, which represents one of the most important environmental issues at the national and global levels because of the economic, social and environmental risks involved, led me to insist on choosing specialization, especially as this issue received early and great attention from the state and the efforts exerted in order to face its repercussions and adapt to its impacts Potential on environmental systems and economic sectors, including the adoption of policies that included economic diversification policy and focus on the green economy, energy diversification policy focusing on renewable and clean energy and energy efficiency promotion, sustainable transport policy, and skipping Sustainable Urban and others ».

Al-Shehhi continued, “After my bachelors degree in (Environmental Sciences) in 2022, I aspire to join the academic corps, to dedicate my life to the education of subsequent generations, environmental sciences and their secrets, the importance of preserving them and investing their resources in everything that is useful and valuable, and preparing a generation capable of facing the challenges facing the environment It threatens her and affirms that her safety is the safety of its members, generation after generation. ”

On the experience of alienation, Al-Shehhi said that it is like "an important turning point in my life. It gave me a great opportunity to develop my capabilities in various fields, most notably the social and academic field, and therefore I see it as one of the best decisions I have made in my life so far."

Al-Shehhi is keen to integrate into her west in a number of ways, most notably “Participating in various activities and events of the Emirati student community in Leeds, such as celebrating the National Day, the Flag Day and the celebration of Arab nights.”

Al-Shehhi spends most of her free time visiting friends and the surrounding areas of Leeds, where she lives, to learn about the city's history, as well as its natural environment.

She lacks al-Shehhi in her west, besides hearing the call to prayer and gathering with family members about the dining trip and golf, which she has been practicing since she was a sixth-grade student, and won more than one local championship.

Al-Shehhi is keen to read historical books, and works on home farming, in line with her interests in preserving the environment, and her endeavor to become an effective individual in the sustainability process, in addition to her keenness to reduce the use of environmentally harmful plastic.
