“We have many hopes that our efforts will give a certain reaction. One of these hopes is connected with the activity of our parliamentary delegation to PACE. Of course, we count on the support of our parliamentarians, ”Vyshinsky told RIA Novosti.

As he noted, a positive ending to the conflict would be the return of common sense to the actions of the Estonian authorities.

“Civilized people, when they make mistakes (and we believe that this is a mistake), correct them, and then apologize. But we are most concerned about the correction of the mistake, the triumph of common sense, ”Vyshinsky emphasized.

Earlier, State Duma Deputy Speaker Pyotr Tolstoy said that the Russian delegation at the winter session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe will raise the issue of media freedom in Europe and the situation with Sputnik Estonia.

On January 1, Sputnik Estonia went into emergency operation.

It was noted that agency employees were forced to terminate their employment with the editorial board due to the threat of criminal prosecution.
