In the United Kingdom, relevant legislation has been passed that is necessary to leave the EU. With approval from the European Parliament next week, Britain will leave the EU on 31st of this month.

In the UK, relevant legislation required for the withdrawal from the EU passed the Senate on the 22nd, and all parliamentary procedures were completed.

In the UK, since the referendum in 2016, society has been severely divided over whether to leave the EU, and the withdrawal originally scheduled for March last year has been postponed three times.

However, in the general election held last December, the ruling and conservative parties who appealed for speedy withdrawal won overwhelmingly and gained a majority of seats in the lower house of parliament. The deliberation proceeded smoothly, and in the new parliament that began after the general election, the bill was passed almost one month after the start of the deliberation.

This has largely completed the UK process of withdrawal, and with the EU's parliamentary approval next week, the UK will leave the EU on 31st of this month.
