"The citizens of South Korea located in Wuhan, pay special attention to security, citizens who are planning a trip to the eastern regions of China are advised to seriously consider the need for a trip," the Foreign Ministry said.
South Koreans who are in other Chinese regions have been urged to refrain from such trips.
As noted in the department, the Chinese authorities suspend flights from stations and from Wuhan airports because of the coronavirus.
According to the latest data, the number of patients with pneumonia due to the new coronavirus in China exceeded 570, of which 17 people died.
