The Central Electoral Board has decided to sanction with a fine of 500 euros to the President of the Government , Pedro Sánchez, for using "the public means available to him as acting President of the Government" to carry out an election campaign with a view to the elections of the 10-N.

The Board considers that Sanchez violated article 153.1 of the Organic Law of General Electoral Regime and caused "the consequent breach of the principle of neutrality that all public power must respect during the electoral process" and "diminished the principle of equality of arms between formations disputing policies in the elections.
