The Russian leader said this during a meeting with his Israeli counterpart Reuven Rivlin.

“You just said that it is not known where anti-Semitism ends. Unfortunately, we know this ends with Auschwitz, ”Putin quoted Interfax.

The Russian leader emphasized that care must be taken to avoid repeating this.

“And resist any manifestations of xenophobia, anti-Semitism, wherever this happens,” he added.

Earlier, Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz thanked Putin for the liberation of Auschwitz by the Soviet army.
