Police were alerted by a church official on Wednesday that about 50 square meters of copper have disappeared from the roof of the chapel at Skogskyrkogården in Jönköping.

The roof was laid as late as seven weeks ago. This is the second big copper theft from the same place in just six months, last summer about 80 square meters of copper roof was stolen. Restoring the ceiling is estimated to cost about SEK 400,000.

During Thursday morning, the police were on site for a technical investigation, but have no suspects at this time. One appeals to any witnesses to hear from them.
