The most popular destination last year was Turkey. The Russians purchased almost half (41.9%) of the total number of package tours to this country, which is 3.6% more than in 2018. At the same time, analysts note that over the past year, a trip to Turkey has become more expensive by 14%.
The second place was taken by Cyprus (10.8% of purchased permits).
Last place was Russia, which moved Thailand one line below. According to analysts, 10.6% of tours were bought to various Russian resorts. This is almost 2% more than in 2018.
It is noted that over the past year, the cost of vacation in Russia decreased by 25%.
Also in 2019, the top 10 countries where Russians most often bought tours included Thailand, Tunisia, the UAE, Greece, Spain, the Dominican Republic and Vietnam.
