Vines in the Médoc (Gironde). - M.Bosredon / 20Minutes

The President of the United States will receive a letter from a Girondin member of parliament. Benoit Simian (LREM), MP for the Médoc (5th district of Gironde) does not hesitate to send a letter to Donald Trump in person to defend his wine-growing territory.

He has just made public this Thursday a letter in which he requests an audience with the American president to discuss customs duties on French wines. He hopes to have the opportunity to explain to him how his customs policy would be very damaging to French wine production and in particular in the Médoc.
