The French Gabriella Papadakis and Guillaume Cizeron, in search of a sixth consecutive European coronation, occupy the head, but of accuracy, after the rhythmic dance at the European Championships of figure skating, Thursday in Graz (Austria).

On the catchy tunes of the musical Fame, a combination of candy pink and turquoise plus gaiters for her, pink top for him, Papadakis and Cizeron, authors of an impeccable performance, collected 88.78 points. But the Russians Victoria Sinitsina and Nikita Katsalapov only point to five hundredths (88.73). The Italians Charlène Guignard and Marco Fabbri complete the provisional podium (84.66).

The free dance is scheduled for Saturday afternoon.

A new continental coronation would allow Papadakis (24) and Cizeron (25) to match the most successful duo in history at European level, the Soviets Liudmila Pakhomova and Aleksandr Gorchkov, six times crowned in the 1970s, but not consecutively.

He would also make them the most successful French skaters in history on the European scene, ahead of Surya Bonaly, crowned five times between 1991 and 1995, and Alain Giletti, who won as much between 1955 and 1961.
