“In order to prevent the further spread of the epidemic of a new type of coronavirus, strengthen control in public places and eliminate the transmission of the virus, the Wuhan city government is taking measures to wear masks in public places,” TASS quoted Yang Yunyan.

As specified, according to the measures taken, employees of state bodies, enterprises and private companies must wear protective masks during operation.

In late December, Chinese authorities reported an outbreak of pneumonia of unknown origin in Wuhan. It was preliminary established that the causative agent was a new type of coronavirus - 2019-nCoV, which is transmitted from person to person.

According to the latest data, 17 people died from this type of coronavirus, more than 500 are infected.
