This is the third time in four years they have been awarded the award by the magazine Dagens medicin. According to the survey, Västervik's hospital maintains a uniform quality in most areas

- Like many other hospitals, we have a shortage of staff, but being able to achieve good results nevertheless feels incredibly fun. That we have the strength to be able to depend on the staff giving good results every day, they are very capable, says Henrik Holmberg hospital manager in Västervik.

Several strengths

Henrik Holmberg says that he is proud of the points where Västervik has good judgment, among other things the availability, that they can quickly receive patients at the emergency room. In the various investments, Västervik is one in terms of accessibility and patient surveys. Two on overcoats and three on pressure ulcers, the magazine writes.

- It's great to have this fantastic result. But the work ahead will continue and you must be humble for the improvements to be made, but today we can only be proud, he says.

Oskarshamn second

In the second place in the same category, Värnamo hospital. The central satellite dish in Växjö is not among the twelve best in this survey.

Oskarshamn Hospital has several times won the category of smaller hospitals, but this year will be overtaken by Capio S: t Göran's hospital in Stockholm.
