The misdemeanor court in Fujairah began the trial of two Arab sisters accused of begging in a residential area, and the two defendants admitted to asking for money to buy a blood sugar tester for their sick mother.

After seizing the seizures from the money held by the two suspects, they were investigated and referred to the Public Prosecution to complete the remaining necessary legal procedures, and imprisoned them until they were sentenced.

Asked by the court’s panel for the two accused, the former said that the residential area in which they were caught is their residence, and that they were forced to take to the street in search of money to buy a blood sugar tester for their sick mother.

While the second defendant denied the charge of begging, stating that their goal was not to ask for money for begging, pointing out that they moved to the country a little while ago, and that they had to ask for money for their sick mother.

The court decided to postpone the case to pronounce judgment in next week's session.
