The Israeli Occupation Army said that its soldiers shot dead three Palestinians who threw an explosive device at its forces after they tried to cross the border from Gaza yesterday.

He added that the forces cordoned off an area close to the southern end of the Gaza Strip after observing "three suspects" crossing the border.

On the other hand, a police source in Gaza said that two of the martyrs were 18 and 17 years old.

The source added that the dead were civilians and were not affiliated with any of the armed factions in Gaza.

There was no immediate comment from the Hamas-run Gaza Strip or any other armed faction.

In the context, a spokesman for the occupation army told Haaretz that the Palestinians were killed in the incident, and no one was injured on the Israeli side.
