“This news led to a massive seizure of cache from the Sberbank ATM network. We learned that a number of ATMs are empty, without money. People started to panic. In the morning, more than 250 billion rubles were withdrawn from our devices, ”he said.

As Kuznetsov pointed out, the bank was forced to put all issues related to cash and its transportation around the clock.

Thanks to this, according to him, it was possible "not without difficulty" to avoid mass panic in Russia.

“Then a number of banks were forced to suspend their work,” he added.

Earlier, Kuznetsov said that Sberbank in January underwent the most powerful DDOS attack in its history, which it managed to repel.
