January 22, 2020 Mitiga International Airport, the only one operating in Tripoli, has been hit by "six Grad rockets in a flagrant threat to air navigation and a new ceasefire violation". This was written by the Facebook page of "Rage Volcano", the operation of defense of the Libyan capital from the attack by the forces of General Khalifa Haftar. The militias of the war criminal and rebel Haftar hit the airport, the post points out, quoting the spokesman Colonel Mohamed Gnounou without giving any other details.

Flights have been suspended.

Meanwhile during the Berlin Conference on Libya it emerged that all countries are willing to commit to a ceasefire in the African country, with the exception of the commander of the self-proclaimed Libyan National Army (LNA) Khalifa Haftar. This was stated by Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu speaking at the World Economic Forum. '' In Berlin, we met with all the actors, including the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council, and we are all committed to achieving a sustainable truce or a ceasefire. Al-Serraj did so too (Tripoli Prime Minister Fayez, ed), but Haftar made no commitment '', said the head of Turkish diplomacy speaking at a panel on the Middle East with the Omani Foreign Minister Yusuf bin Alawi.
