When they attacked her, they were well informed. Two men, 22 and 28, with numerous criminal records, were arrested Monday evening in Bron, near Lyon, after the violent assault of a woman.
According to the police reporting on this case on Wednesday, the suspects, armed with a crowbar, violently stole the victim's bag containing nearly 4,000 euros. An accomplice on the run?
In the car of the two men, arrested shortly after the incident, the booty was found by the police. The oldest of the accused allegedly admitted the facts, explaining that he acted with a third accomplice whose identity he did not want to reveal. He also explained that he had been informed that the victim had a large sum of money before attacking her.
While in police custody, the second suspect, recognized by a witness to the assault and theft, denied the facts. The two men are referred this Wednesday to the Lyon prosecutor's office, to be judged in immediate appearance.
